Kate Middleton and Prince William attended the annual Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey.

This is their first time attending as Prince and Princess of Wales.

The service honors the 56 countries and nations that make up the Commonwealth.

The event is a staple on the royal calendar.

Kate wore a navy Erdem peplum jacket and skirt, accessorized with a Prince of Wales feathers brooch and sapphire and diamond earrings.

William complemented her in a navy suit with a blue tie.

The couple was welcomed in by members of the Ngāti Rānana London Māori Club.

The Commonwealth Day theme for 2023 is "Forging a Sustainable and Peaceful Common Future."

The Commonwealth seeks to highlight its diverse population of 2.5 billion people.
