Kate Middleton and Prince William visited South Wales ahead of St. David's Day.

They visited Aberavon Leisure & Fitness Centre and competed on spin bikes.

Kate won the competition, but William joked that they felt sorry for her because she was in heels.

The couple was greeted by school children waving Welsh flags, and Kate was given daffodils and a Welsh dragon card.

They also visited Brynawel Rehabilitation Centre and the Wales Air Ambulance headquarters.

At Brynawel Rehabilitation Centre, they helped the organization scale up its plan for therapy gardens.

At the Wales Air Ambulance headquarters, Prince William was announced as the new Royal Patron of the charity.

The couple interacted with fans, including avid royal watcher Sharon Libby and recruitment officer Caroline Quint.

Kate was interested in Quint's work on early childhood and fostering.
