Kate Middleton had her first military engagement as a Colonel on Wednesday.

She visited the 1st Battalion Irish Guards in Wiltshire, England.

Kate inherited the title from her husband Prince William in December 2022.

This was her first visit to the battalion since becoming Colonel.

Kate wore a camouflage jacket, army-green pants, and boots for the visit.

She participated in battlefield casualty drills in the snow.

Photos showed her kneeling down alongside other soldiers.

Lance Corporal Jodie Newell praised Kate for being an enthusiastic student.

The royal family updated the line of succession to include Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's children as Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
