King Charles offered a new royal role to the Marquess of Cholmondeley and his wife, Rose Hanbury.

The Marquess, real name David Rocksavage, will be the King’s Lord-in-Waiting.

David's new job entails attending important state and royal events as well as representing the monarch at official events as needed.

The Marquess is also a filmmaker and lives with his wife at Houghton Hall in Norfolk.

Houghton Hall is close to Anmer, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s home in the East Anglian countryside.

The Marquess and Marchioness are known to be friendly with the royals and often attend royal events.

The Marchioness's grandmother, Lady Rose Lambert, was a bridesmaid at Queen Elizabeth's wedding in 1947.

Anmer Hall, Prince William and Kate Middleton's home, is situated just two miles from the Queen’s Sandringham home.

The Marquess and Marchioness will regain their status after David was replaced as Lord Great Chamberlain last year.
