King Charles has offered the Marquess of Cholmondeley a new royal role in the royal court.

After being replaced as Lord Great Chamberlain last year, David Rocksavage and Rose Hanbury will return to their status.

The Marquess will now serve as the King’s Lord-in-Waiting.

David will now represent the monarch at state and royal events.

The Marquess is also a filmmaker and lives with his wife at Houghton Hall in Norfolk.

Anmer Hall, where the Prince and Princess of Wales often spend Christmas, is situated just two miles from their home.

The Marquess and Marchioness are known to be friendly with the royals and often seen at royal events.

The Marchioness's grandmother, Lady Rose Lambert, was a bridesmaid at Queen Elizabeth's wedding in 1947.

The Marquess's new position will likely lead to increased interaction and involvement with the royal family.
