Prince William and Princess Kate visited the Welsh Guards to celebrate St David's Day.

The royal couple presented leeks, a quintessentially Welsh symbol, to officers and guardsmen.

Kate wore a stunning red Alexander McQueen coat, black boots, hat, gloves, and a Mulberry bag.

She also wore a silver leek-shaped brooch, dainty floral earrings, and patterned cut-out gloves.

The couple arrived in Combermere Barracks to attend the St David's Day Parade and meet families from the Regiment.

William was announced as the new Colonel of the Welsh Guards in December.

The guards have taken part in almost every British Army campaign since the First World War.

Kate and William visited mental health projects and the Wales Air Ambulance headquarters in south Wales to celebrate St. David's Day early.
